CIMA – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) was set up in London in 1916 in order to improve professional qualifications of the persons working with finance and to promote ethics and top standards in management and finance. Its objective is also to gather and certify specialists in management accounting. The main area of CIMA’s interest with regard to qualifications is business management and the role of strategic management information in that process. CIMA Qualifications

To obtain a CIMA diploma candidates must pass 15 exams. They represent a broad scope of subjects: from financial and management accounting, taxation, law to issues involved in business strategy design and implementation (detailed descriptions of particular papers may be found later in the document). CIMA exams may be taken worldwide, including in Poland.

Where and when can one enroll with CIMA?

To begin CIMA studies one must register at the organization as a student.

 

The persons who wish to sit their first exams in November must register with CIMA by 31 July and those who will begin their exams from the May session, by 31 January.

  • BPP assists those interested in starting a CIMA program with CIMA registration. We also offer full administrative services.
  • CIMA Training is organized by BPP at the Warsaw study center.
  • A registered CIMA student may report at any time to BPP and sign up for  CBEs (computer-based assessment).
  • After completing the full CIMA training program graduates are obligated to continue to enhance their qualifications under the CIMA Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program. BPP Professional Education, with its broad range of training offered, facilitates fulfillment of those requirements by CIMA graduates.
